Still have not installed the flooring.

OTH I now have taken delivery of Mercier Engineered 3 1/4" maple and want everything to be ready before I rent the tools needed.

The issue now are the seams between the various thicknesses of plywood I had to lay down to make the floor level and flat. Even though I built up felt paper to the edge of these sections and put an extra layer on top of all the feathered out layers I see the lines where the different pieces of ply abut.

My question: will these telegraph through the finish wood?

Would I be better to rent an edger, lift the felt paper from the offending areas, sand the plywood to feather it and put back felt paper or is it safe to go ahead with installation lines notwithstanding?

Thanks.

If I was not so far into this work, I would get a pro to do it.

Yes, you need to stop and fix that. An edger would be ideal.
