they just finished sanding my red pine floors! i have to admit i stunned....i didnt think i would like it natural but it has dramatically changed the whole room ...so much brighter!

anyway they showed me with some water based and some oil based polys and i cant in my right mind put the oil base on this floor it would almost be a sin, when they put the oil base on it was very red, they guys were even shocked how dark they went

so anyway if i want to keep the way the floor looks natural ii should use just a water based poly correct?

I would suggest another alternative. Look at the Penetrating Oil finishes. There are several out there to choose from and if you want your floor to look as natural as possible, this is the way to go. You will have excellent protection from dirt, drips and moisture, and you will also have a finish that is easily repaired.
