5 Years ago, I had Woods of Distinction Merbau, 3/4 x 3.625" color is Natural installed. Another contractor did some work in my home and had an accident and damaged a few planks of my wood. He is willing to replace the wood, but the company is now out of business. How do I replace this wood, If I seach on the internet to buy this wood from another manufacture, will it match the currently installed floor? If not, what are my options.

Woods of Distinction was a line made for Hoboken floors...like shop rite brand corn flakes..;)

you can search to see if there are any odd lots left over that may have been purchased
during the bankruptcy liquidations.

Someone ma have some as i was recently contacted by someone who had a similar issue and they said they had located some.
you just need to know your color and or model number..would be helpful

If not , you SOL as they say....and the next would be to refinish, repair the spot, if possible, or refinish the room

I'm afraid your going to have a tough time finding that material. Another option is to remove and repair with planks from another area, such as a closet, under appliances, etc.

Johnson hardwood may have what you're looking for. They did have very similar products that were almost identical to WOD..probably same manufacturer.

check that. Not Johnson but ...hmmmn. I'll get it. There was or may still be a line called Woods Of The World.

Who handles it in other locations is unknown. Obtaining a small quantity may also be a problem.
