You will need to remove the boards and start where the tongue is exposed. This will make the repair easier. Start removing the leftover boards against the wall by destroying the board closest to the wall if you can not set the top nails through with an eighth inch punch and pull it up. Then pry out the boards carefully as you remove them. Use the boards that you have salvaged to start the repair. As you use all the salvaged boards you can tell how many new boards you need.
