Hi Guys. I'm getting ready to install 1000' of anderson virginia vintage oak tobacco 1/2 engineered 5" wide. I'll be stapling down with 1.25" X .25" crown 18 gauge staples. I have a question about the ends. Do I staple the 5" wide end at the tongue like on the long side or use some sort of glue or just do nothing on the end? The wood looks incredible, although it is quite a bit darker than any of the samples that we looked at. Thanks in advance! Dave

If the Anderson instructions do not say to glue or nail the end butt tongues, then it is not needed. I do know some feel better about gluing that wide of a plank instead of stapling. Some guys also put some wood glue in the groove of the end butts but I do not know if this helps or hinders. I always recommend following manufacturer's instructions and when there is a question, recommend calling tech. dept of the manufacturer. They know their product best.
