Thanks everyone! Sold on the Honeywell

I bought that humidifier mentioned above when I had 6 inches of water that poured into my basement after the pressure relief valve on my hot water heater malfunctioned. I had started to see mold in a few places, and I knew I needed something strong. I ran it for about a weak straight and worked better than I ever would have expected. There is no mold anywhere, and I know this because I had to cut a hole in one of the walls I was concerned about about 6 months later. Glad I found a good one!

Nice thing about the stand alone humidifiers is that they run independantly of the home HVAC so when it's not hot or cold enough for the HVAC to run yet still dry it works great.
