I have hardwood floors in my upstairs bedrooms. We had a house fire about 5 years ago and they put this white coating on top of the hard wood floors. I'm not exactly sure what it is but I've been told it is to kill the smell of smoke....I now want my hardwood floors ( not burnt at all BTW ) . I was wondering if amyone has ever tried to remove this stuff. I've tried sanding but it just gums up too quick. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

You may have to use stripper,then sand.
