I just realized that my oak floors are 2" wide planks, not the standard 2-1/4" wide (it's definitely 1/4" narrower, I measured at the store). I didn't even know they came in 2" wide sizes. It's an old floor (60+ years) that I want to refinish. Where the heck can I find 2" planks? I'm guessing wherever I do find them, they won't be cheap.

Thanks!

you wont find it, it will have to be custom ordered. or if its a few boards just rip it down from a wider plank.

Dang it! There's not too many replacement boards, so ripping down to 2" won't be so bad. The problem is that I have a kitchen where I wanted to install matching hardwood.

How bad would installing 2-1/4" in the kitchen with 2" everywhere else in the house look?

Thanks for your help!

You'd be the only person who'd ever know the difference.I've refinished floors that had 2" flooring, and new additions where they had installed 2-1/4". Barely noticeable.
