We installed Merbau 4 years ago and recently added on about 300 square feet to our dining room and kitchen. Much to our surprise, we cannot seem to find this product anywhere. In Vancouver anyway.

Any suggestions?

Rene

What product do you have? I regularly see Merbau available, particularly in pre-finished products.

The Merbau is prefinished 3.5'' wide, in random lengths.

Try "Active Hardwoods" in Calgary. Ask for Ned.

I vaguely remember Merbau, being put on the endangered species list, and a lot of what we have here, was harvested illegally.
There was even talk of repossession of installed wood, found to be harvested illegally.
A chain of custody document was needed for the sale of Merbau and most real Teak
