Hey hows it going. I haven't logged on in a long time but I have a question I'd like to ask.

I usually sand 50, 120 then fill, and the 120 again. Is this necessary or can I fill after the 50 grit?

Time is of the essence and would like to skip a step.

Thanks
Rob

50, 120? Geezeus. No offense.. but why? There is NO way you are removing 50 grit marks with 120. If you're making 3 passes anyways.. Go 40, then fill, 60, 100. Your stain will look richer if you stop at 100 anyways.
Plus if you fill the floor and then try to remove it with 120... It'll gum up big time.. You're wasting paper.

YIKES

That is skipping up way too fast. It actually promotes premature wear thru of the finish.

Uy!

I think I've made it smooth in the past just by working to hard at it. (and using to much paper!)

I'll do what you say.

Thanks Guys.

if you like starting with a 50, fill then jump up to 80 after. skip the 120 (im guessing thats what you use on the machine/edger) then you can 100/120 with the buffer
50-120 is to far of a jump IMO
