Hey guys.

I've been installing with my Dad for the past 6 years and I don't feel like I've found the ideal sneaker. I live/work in WesternNY so there may be a touch of weather concern but I don't really factor it. The longest I get out of 1 pair is probably 4 months. And thats a 75$ pair of NewBalance. Thoughts?

10 bucks a month for installation shoes isn't bad. I just go for comfort...Back in the day, knew a guy that worked barefoot, believe it or not, dangerous and embarrasing to work with. (When he stained a job...you could see the stain color on his fee the next day! ) Geez

If you figure you are on your feet for 7-8 hours a day, carrying equipment, sanding, finishing, fetching, 4 months is a long time. I get about the same.

Two things in life...good shoes and warm comfortable clothing.

I get a year out of my Timberland leather lace up boots.
I have to replace the shoestrings at least once before they go in the toe.

Cheap tennis shoes, if that is what you are going to wear. $19-39 max.
Save may good Nike's for after work.

Crocs are the best. Rubber soles, easy to clean glue out of soles when doing glue downs, don't leave marks on prefinished floors, plus they are so light. Great for service when you need to slip on and off fast. they don't smell and your feet get to breath. best of all they are cheap and out last running shoes.
