Hey guys, I accidentally scratched some hard wood floors. What would be the best/easiest/cheapest way to do this? It doesn't have to be perfect, the floor is different colors all over but I know NOTHING about home repair.

Here is a photo of the scratches

thank you so much!

If you take a damp rag and wet the floor, you will see the color that you will get when you add another oat of finish over the repair area. If you like the color then you can use some clear finish, semi-gloss or satin to protect it. Follow the directions to coat over existing finish. I think that a quick drying finish like. Varathane quick dry water-based poly-urethane will be a good finish. You can add two or three coats. Use the grain of the wood to help blend in the extra thickness of the finish.
Let the finish dry a couple of days before you walk on it. Try not to slide anything over your floor.

You may not need to use a touch-up stick if the color looks good when you wet the floor with a little water. When it is wet it will look like it does with a coat of finish applied. How does it look?
