what is the best underlayment to match sound of hardwood??

HI all,
And thank you for having a forum like this for dummies like me.
I wanted to ask what underlayment would best match the sound of hardwood for 3/8 thick 5 inch wide engineered hardwood these are lock in boards so cant glue.

A dense foam with a plastic sheet adhered to it with a tape on the overlap to hold rows together. You should not need to use a 6 mil plastic sheet under this type of underlayment.

the eco ultra quiet premium seems like it has foam and a barrier has anyone here used that?

If you would like confirmation before you buy it, try laying a piece of plank on top of it and tap with a hammer. Some brands have small sample squares to try.

Well it is possible to glue locking engineered hardwood, that said my favorite underlayment is SoundSolutions. http://www.healthierchoice.com/sound-solution.html

Cork underlayment is perfect for wood flooring. Foam underlayment is other option and it offers a low cost solution.
