The best underlayment to use is usually the one that the maker spec's for that particular floor. The selection may vary for noise suppression, on slab, on wood, or radiant heat. Kahrs is a great product; and have never had a problem with any of them, except for occasional comment about the three strip looking "busy" because of the shorter lengths of the individual filets that make up the whole board. Choose the floor that meets your needs, and then use their underlayment for the install. It is quite possible to over analyze every detail, and make yourself crazy in the process. Internet overload.
