I changed some o-rings in a Paslode FSC200 floor nailer. What lubricant should be used for the new o-rings? I see it had some factory lubricant in there, not just air tool oil.
Following what I found online, I used white lithium grease, but I'm starting to realize white lithium grease contains a lot of petroleum distillates which are not good for o-rings.
Some people recommended silicone lubricant for plumbing from Home Depot. Any ideas if this is good?

O-ring grease is made from petroleum. I would use lithium grease if you have it. Put some into the O-ring slot before the O-ring.

that's what I used, "white lithium grease".. not sure why it's "white" ?
I put in the slot and on top.. maybe I should've used only oil on top?

Things don't seem to slide very smooth, .. but the nailer is working good.. I just don't want to wear out the new o-rings I put in by putting the wrong grease. I put the white lithium and then some air tool oil on top all over the sliding surfaces.
