I am putting new hardwood floors into my condo which has one face that is all windows with a sunroom type design (15' long 6' high with 3 feet of "cieling" windows). Obviously sun is going to pour into this room (east facing). What wood is best for this amount of sun considering I have exposed brick and I do not want the room to get to "dark" with dark floors.

Also I am pulling up the sub floor to the floor joists (original floor from 1880) what would be the recomended subflooring considering costs.
Thanks all!
Nate

Look for a floor that has UV inhibitors. The only one I am aware of is Lauzon Next Step. There are probably others that I am unaware of. If you are planning on going the site finished route, use a finish that has UV blockers in it. Basic's "Street Shoe" has UV inhibitors. All wood and most fabrics are photo sensitive and overtime, will change color from exposure to sunlight. Some will lighten from a bleaching effect and others will darken. I'd also recommend windows with low -E glass. If the windows are already in, then you can have them tinted or get a film installed that will also help.
