Hi,
Please see the images here —-
https://photos.app.goo.gl/tJQiTTyhdcF8i1fB91. I do not understand what type of floor layers I have... what is the likely insulation there? It does not look strong to support a log cabin.
2. I am ripping out the carpet and will put down 1x8 pine t&g floor. The floor gets super cold, so I want to put as warm of an underlayment as possible. I also noticed that I probably have tat paper (?) in the picture under pressed wood boards, so do I need a moisture retarder at all? I don’t mind to double down, add extra things as long as it makes the floor warmer and does not trap moisture anywhere. My wife is pregnant, so green materials and no off gassing is important.
Please help. I need the best solution for warm floors.
Thanks!
