I need to refinish the old oak floor in our baby room. What recommendations do you have for a kid safe floor finish. I am leaning towards water based poly. Is there a better one though?

Some water based polys claim to be greener and safer than others but I do not know what empirical data there is to prove that and I don't know if making hte finish safer makes it less durable or not. I can tell you that Basic coatings and Bonakemi are two of the best manufacturers of water based coatings and you'd do well with products from either company.

Also, there is a "Finishing" section on the forum if you have any other finish questions about finishing floors.

There is no odor Paul. Order some sample bottles and try it.

What do you mean by no odor? You don't need a mask to install it, or you can come back in a week and its safe.
