My two-year-old child spilled Map Seal, a water resistant seal used to protect maps, on our hardwood floor a few weeks ago. I sponged up as much as I could quickly, but some remained. Can I remove the seal without damaging the wood, and if so, how? So far I've used soap and water and vinegar with no result.

If the floor is aluminum oxide, try a magic eraser in a small test are. Has worked great for some things for me. Dried glue, paint, etc.
