Trying to decide on floor finish. We have settled on using Waterlox. We have red oak and are going to just use waterlox, no stain. Now just trying to decide between the glossy finish coat and the satin. DW wants glossy, and I kind of think satin would look nicer. We want some shine, and the satin seems quite dull on the test piece I tried (or do you have to buff it up to get some shine?). But I'm worried that the glossy will show scuffs and other issues more, or may be just too shiny.

For those who may have worked with Waterlox a bit, do you mostly see the glossy or the satin preferred?

Any input is appreciated. Photos would be great also if anyone has a waterloxed floor of any finish they would like to share.

Thanks!
