Hello everyone,

I have a few spots on my hardwood that are water damaged. The first spit is from the previous owners. I'm going to guess they had a plant on the wood and caused damaged. The second spot was me being an idiot and leaving a wet steam mop on the wood floor in the laundry after finishing a cleanup.

Question: Is my only option here to completely re-finish the area? Can I re-finish just the damaged planks? Or maybe have someone pull out the damaged planks and just finish up the surrounding area?

Looking for the most cost effective solution as the floor is only 4 years old and the rest of it does not need any TLC at all.

Thanks

I would just replace the boards. It looks like a pretty standard issue 21/4 oak floor. nothing major here, probably run into a minimum charge on this kind of thing.

Thanks.

I will check around with some local companies to see what they can do.
