Laid about 1400 sqft of strand woven bamboo flooring last summer and last week the water line on the fridge broke and the restoration guys removed about 200 sqft in the kitchen. Unfortunately, the flooring was glued tongue and groove and the company broke the tongues off the good boards at the parameter of the water line. What do you guys suggest in order to get a good starter row, to go back and fill in what they removed? Chemically soften the glue in the next row and hammer from one end of the room and try to get a whole row to break loose? Suggestions please!

Thanks,
Matt

you should br able to clean it out no easily enough...no need for chemicals..that T&G adhesive doesn't dry very hard..

worst case use a router and groove cutter

once its clean..just install backwards..

(not sure how I understood that post..but I did=)

I would router both that row and the boards for the first new row then make a spline.

Bullet Tools, use to have "The Skimmer" for cleaning out the groove of wood flooring, to make a starter row for repairs.

Route it out and use splines for the tongue.
