Hi All,

I recently sanded the wood floors on a small bungalow I am refinishing. After sanding I made the mistake of washing the unfinished wood with water. Once I completed the staining I have noticed that the areas that were washed are much rougher than other spots on the floor, and I can see clear lines where the mop was stopped. Also, I can easily tell where the floor goes from smooth to rough. I think that once I washed these areas the grain in the wood flooring raised. Would a light finish sand with an 80 the 120 grit fix this issue or would I have to re-sand and re-stain the entire floor?

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks!!!
