Does anyone know what the standard warranty one should expect on a woodfloor repair. ( fill, ducthman, resand finish). If the contractor does not offer any warranty, garuentee etc.. is that a redflag ( I assume it is, however everyone that has come in to bid the job has told me based on he repairs, they will not offer any assurance or warranty).

There's no "standard warranty' for a wood floor repair that I know of. Warranty laws will vary by state licensure, and or company. That being said....IMO "dutchmens" are mickeymouse, I can't see anyone performing this over the gaps of your entire floor, let alone without completely protecting themselves.

Re: Your original post concerning the Insurance company etc....There has be a lot of pertinant information your not posting. IMO there's holes everywhere, nothing makes sense.

It's a piece of wood inserted, (usually narrow), where there typically shouldn't or wouldn't be, in order to fill a gap. IMO it's an eyesore, trying to cover up a mistake.
