Does anyone know the proper steps to take to become an inspector?

Sure contact the National Wood Flooring Association www.nwfa.org considered the most authoritative source with courses geared toward becoming a Certified Wood Inspector.

Personally I would not waste the money and time it takes to become a bonified/certified inspector. There's just to many out there without hands on experience....carpet cleaners and such doin it. Makes the inspection industry look very very bad. Leaves a bad smell in my nostrils. :evil:

I hear ya, I just want to get off my knees soon I'm 41 now and been installing constantly for 11 years, and my job b4 that wasnt easy either (body abuse). Not a good time to try running my own show for obvious reasons and personal (young kids at home with wife...insurance etc..)
