Good Day.
I would appreciate some advice on gluing down 3/4inch heart pine shorts (6in - 2.5ft length x 5in width) directly onto concrete (on grade).
Owner wants no VOC in the glue. Options I've found include Bostik Ultra Set Single Step and Bostik Vapor Lock (once I determine the slab moisture).
Has anyone used these products? Any other more economical 2 in 1 adhesives around with No VOC?
Thanks

The Vapor Lock does not say you can use it for solids, but the One Step does. I like Bostik products..

Missed that, thanks.
It may be out of the price range though with Bostik UltraSet.
I'll look for low VOC alternatives.

I have always been a big fan of Bostik products. I have used them on a variety of handyman projects. I am not familiar with other VOC products. I have used Bostik and solely Bostik, you will have to let us know what you find.

What's the word on Bostik single app they sell at Lowes?
Also, anyone have experience with Mapei Eco 995 or
Bona R581 moisture barrier with Bona R851 adhesive?
Appreciate the help.

I like Mapei stuff but the general concensus is that I'm not using it because it is still to new. And the virginia distributor in Phoenix will not sel it yet due to the same reason. Franklin has the best stuff as far as warranty is concerned but I cannot get any here, wish I could. I have nothing on the Bona, it is still very new as well. The Bostik one step is great but I am not a fan of lakes of adhesive, I can't work on top of it.

The Chemrex CX-1000 is superb if you can find it. http://www.buildingsystems.basf.com/p02 ... EX_CX-1000

Well, floor is ground and sealed with Bone Dry. Have purchased Roberts 1530 which is no VOC per manufacturer, does not contain water and is vapor barrier/adhesive.
Any experience with this product?
Thanks!

Who makes Bone Dry? Compatability with sealers and adhesives can be a big issue. Make sure your adhesive is compatable, check with both manufacturers if there is any question.

Usually I never use a sealer from a different manufacturer than the adhesive manufacturer. Just asking for problems.
