I ordered wood flooring, Invincible - Patriot Ridge - Oak in Bar Stool color, from Carpet One Floor & Home and they did the installation.
After they completed the installation, they had several pieces of tape along the floor. I assumed that was part of the install process. I'm not sure how long it was on there because the contractor was up there doing other stuff and they put down paper over the main walkway to protect the floor.
Two months (or so) later, the contractor fully cleaned the apartment and I noticed that I can see where the original tape was on the floor. You can mostly see it when a light reflection hits the floor. It doesn't change at all with a damp rag. I haven't tried anything stronger.
Do they typically clean the floor after installation with some sort of product? Maybe they did that with the tape in place and caused the slight difference in the look in the light? I'll definitely contact the installation store, but I would really appreciate people's opinion on what happened and what is best to fix it. Thanks.
