Hello again

I was wondering about the vapor barrier over a slab. Do I need to tape the overlaps and the outside edges or should it just lay flat without being taped or sealed? Will duct tape do the job if it needs to be taped?

Thanks
Mike

For floating floors I suggest the clear packing tape. Some duct tape will not work well enough. leave some UL up the wall against next to water prone areas like bathrooms, kitchens and outside doorways about an inch, trim to height of floor before doing trim or base..

Duct tape is no good. Use what Stephen suggested. Most of the overlap types have an adhesive strip down the side. I prefer "sound solution" by healthier choice. It has an awesome guarantee and it is a superlative underlayment across the board.
