I was told that you had to use a vapor barrier along with using glue for the bamboo flooring

Or you could use a glue like Stauf 960.

It is highly recommended you use a moisture blocker over concrete, when laying a solid bamboo

so for the novist what comes first, the barrier on the concrete and then the glue or the glue on the concrete and the the barrier

Bamboo is cheap to buy. But I'd rather spend the money on a high quality 8-10 ply engineered exotic with a thick wear layer, and not have to use 960.

When it comes to bamboo, the stauf glue might end up costing you more than the bamboo. I put bamboo in my last townhome, but would never use it again. It dents and scratches way too easy.

I think it's a huge waste to use such an expensive glue with such a cheap product.
