First timer here. I've done numerous tiling but hardwood is a whole new animal for me. This site has been an essential resource for me to learn from.

I've been searching for Bostik's since it's highly recommended by so many but I can't seem to find any (in tube) locally. I'm on a short deadline since all of the tools are borrowed. One of the adhesives (in tube) available is Uro-bond. The only problem I have with it is it's not Urethane, although it specifies that it's ideal for floating intsallation.
The other is bit more expensive (no big deal) and is urethane.
Any thought on this? Has anyone use either of them and would I make it fine with the Uro-Bond?

bostik's is for glue down installions. I've never use a urethane for floating floors nor have i ever heard of anyone useing it. If its a tongue and groove real wood floater i would use a bottle of floating floor glue a urethane glue in the groove and it might not go together to tight would have gaps urethane is to thick. What does the manufacturer say to use?

The bamboo manufacturer calls only for a 100% urethane-based adhesive such as Bostik's Best but does not specify that it's for a glue-down or floating installation. However, they do specifically recommend applying an elasticized PVA in the grooves. Does urethane hardens or is there an elastic property to it?
As for viscosity, the Power Urethane came in a 16 oz. squeeze bottle and seemed very fluid. Why wouldn't urethane bond as well?
Thanks for responding.
Another issue is....
I have a polyethylene underlayment as a vapor barrier, but is 1/8" foam padding over that needed?

The PVA glue is for a floating install on the T&G joint. The urethane adhesive is for a full spread glue-down install, nothing on the T&G. You need a pad over the poly when you float a floor. Those instructions are woefully lacking in details.
