I got my 10 year old red oak floors refinished (sanded and stained) in November 2012. Immediately I realized that he had put down 2 different finishes (high gloss and satin)...so he had to resand and stain again. Within 2 months the semi gloss poly started to peel off. He just came back and sanded our floors again and stained and now has applied a satin finish. The color and the finish look fine, but his sanding has literally caused divets in my floor (if you poured water on them it would puddle)...what do I do? Can they be sanded again? If so, how would they ever get flat/even again? So frustrated!! Thank you!

He is a professional. Has worked for my family for 20 years. He has been in the wood business for 35 years. We are perplexed...

He sounds like a professional hack with 35 years of screwed up jobs under his belt.

Luckily he keeps coming back to honor his product. I think
