I just noticed some uneven sanding patterns on my 3/4in Hickory floor. I touched up by hands some spots with same grit as final floor sander. Im just about ready to seal, then coat with water-base finishes.

Will this uneven sanding cause any problems like adhesion or else?

Thank you much

If you are refinishing your floor and do not take off all the old finish you will have color differences. Older varnishes will not be a problem for adhesion of water-based finishes if all the old varnish is not removed, just a color difference.

Perfect Thx.

Its a new install with natural stain/sealer so I assume I wont have any problems. I'll keep it in mind as I'm about to refinish the rest of the old wood in the house.

Thx
