I am planning on installing a cork floor. I have a 106 year old home and the cork will be on the third floor. The current floor is tongue and groove planks (about 3/4" thick) nailed to the floor joists. The planks are uneven after many years of wear and I was planning to staple 1/4" luan over the planks to even the surface.

Is this acceptable for a cork floor?
