I am wondering if anyone knows if the DCS system that comes in a Bona DCS trailer can be mounted in a cargo van, or box truck. I want the power of this system, but don't want to pull a trailer. Also, if anyone can tell me the approximate size of just the vacuum. Are their any other vacuums that can be mounted in a van that are as powerful?

its a gas powered engine so i would say the cargo van is a no but you could defiantly fit it in a box truck. The trailer bona sells has two compartments one in the front for the vac system and a larger cargo area in the back of the trailer for all your other gear, its big enough to haul a pallet of wood. If you were industrious you could build your own pretty its a pretty simple set up.

Thanks for the reply. Do you know if they sell just the vacuum? How about other companies that sell gas powered truck mounted vacuums? Also, any idea of the price for just the vacuum? Thanks again

You can buy just the vac. Check with your local distributor and they can give you specs, and pricing.

The DCS vac used to sell for about $4500.00 but I believe it has come down in price to under 4 grand. I've used the DCS many times as well as the slightly smaller PDC. Both can be bought without buying a trailer.

The PDC will fit in a cargo van fully assembled but the DCS will not. With the DCS , you have to take the top shroud off to fit it into a cargo van. And just to clarify, the DCS trailer system is simply a Bona DCS vac with a gas generator to supply electricity. The DCS itself is not gas powered.

Keep in mind that you can buy any of the Bona vacuums and bring them into the house with you.You don't have to keep them outside . Plus, the longer you run the hose, the less suction you get. I've worked a lot with these vacs and find Bona's sales pitch to fall flat . Let me know if you have any other questions
