The big box stores seem to carry only the Flat 1/4 x 1/4 V notch.....Bostik calls for 1/4x1/4x1/4 V-notch......
I assume that's a trowel with points at the ends of the trowel edge vs. a 1/4 " FLAT edge seperating each V......

Is the FLAT 1/4x1/4 acceptable for install? If not, where the heck do I get a 1/4x1/4x1/4 V-Notch trowel (with pointed ends)????

Lowes usually has them right next to the buckets of Bostik adhesive. Or go look in the ceramic tile section.

If you have a Lowes in your area..I would bet you have at least one floor covering supply house, ( where the installers pick up tools, supplies, etc.). They would have what your looking for. Or one of the hardwood flooring distributors. They also have trowels, and will usually sell them to the public.

BTW...I don't see where Bostik recommends that particular trowel size. Which adhesive are you using, and product thickness?

Found it at another Lowes in the area- Got the last two they had in stock...
Howard, not a lot of building supplies survived the depression here in Florida the last 7~8 years.....I recently had to drive 45 miles to pick up some Bolection Molding from one of the last building supply companies in the area.

The glue is Bostik Single App....calls for 1/4x1/4x1/4 V-notch trowel.
edit: I just looked again and see it actually calls for 3/16x1/4 V-notch for up to 3/8ths and the other for up to 3/4".....

P.S. Job's on hold until I get my straps/clamps from you... :P
