I have a 5/8" bamboo floor installed in dining room and the installers used a regular board going the opposite way of the joises as the end piece. I'm replacing my carpeting with 3/4" Bruce Hardwood installed by my brother and we are unsure what to do about the 1/8" difference in height between the two rooms.

Do we run one row of boards the same as the end board of the bamboo and have the underside angled so it transitions to the same height?

Do I use a small threshold? If I need this it will take 10 days to order. What can I do in the mean time to finish the room and leave how big of a gab between the floors for the threshold once it's available?

An 1/8 th is a pretty thin reducer if you are looking for a wood you might have some trouble finding one that wont split after its walked on. I would bevel one edge of the 3/4 floor down to 5/8 stain and finish to blend and roll with it. No commercially available trim to compensate for anything under 5/16 that I am aware of.

Chamfer it down to 5/8 and refinish.
