I had my wood floor installed about a week ago and the installers just used hot glue to install the transition pieces. I was wondering if this is considered an acceptable practice in the industry. I already have two transition pieces that are completely loose. The glue is only holding about half the length of the trainsition piece down. You can grab one end and pull it half way up off the floor.

There are Industrial hot glues that will hold, even over concrete. But if they used a common hot glue...forget about it. Most installers use a cartridge urethane adhesive.
