I am installing solid oak over concrete using a Junkers type clip system. The floor floats on a wool felt underlayment and moisture barrier. Per the instructions, I have allowed a minimum of ½” space at all vertical obstructions. My question pertains to the junction of the wood with a marble threshold at the end of a long corridor. The wood abuts the threshold perpendicular. Must I use another threshold of wood to cover the expansion gap or can I butt the wood tight to the marble? I think I already know the answer to this, but I think that the two thresholds, one marble and one wood next to one another will look ridiculous.
Thanks, Pepster
