I have a 12 foot wide transition from ceramic tile to 3/8 engineered wood flooring going from my kitchen to my living room. Has anyone ever seen t-molding used for this transition? If so how does it look, being that is such a large transition area. Or would you recommend some other transition method. The wood flooring is going to replace carpet in this situation

If they are the same hight and your tile has a good clean edge then you may be able to put in a header board instaed. If the tile has a bunch of cut ends meeting the wood you pretty much are stuck with the t-molding. also there are two or three diffrent profiles of t-molding, some have a trapazoid top , some are rounded and the one i like (if its good and flat ) is a flat t mold. Every manufacture uses diffrent ones so it can be a crap shot trying to match if the floor manufacture uses one you dont like.
