I'm surprised again . . . Looking in the trade magazines everyone is trying to sell a scraper that you
file or burnish to put on the (edge)

My question is . . . then, why aren't many guys using tool steel, when choosing a saw blade blade or even
router blades?

Isn't "carbide superior" . . . .so few floor guys know about it. Gaining some knowledge about the mechanics of sharpening, shows you how inferior the cutting edge obtained with a file, when . . .

compared to that on carbide with a 600 grit diamond stone. The area of tool steel will die when we
all experience carbide scrapers (once) TRY IT and enjoy!
Dan @ pro (don't buy a cutting edge wider than, 2" )

I have onoe and the blades are pretty expensive. 14.99 for 2 and you can't really (or I can't) sharpen a carbide blade. But they are good and do last longer than regular blades. I am really liking my Ol Bastard file and scraper.

(rarely do I sharpen my carbide - time is money0)
