I am renovating a bedroom.
I replaced the main light.
I noticed big water stains around the hole of the light.
Tonight I took out the carpet and noticed black 'mold' or 'rot' on the OSB flooring. Mostly below the light. Here are pics of the mold.

Can someone verify if this is mold, rot, and how to fix it? Since this is a spare bedroom, I'm open to taking an 'easy way out' rather than a more difficult one.

if it structurally sound you dont need to do anything...its just discolored from water...its not mold unless to can see the spores and growth...

ur fine..really dont need anything..if it makes u feel good...wash it with bleach...

u can even put some stain killer over it if its smells...
