I need major help or rather my floor does :?

So my dad and I have decided to lay 3/4 inch ash flooring over top of parquet. I bought a master craft nailer with 2 inch nails. We have been having nothing but problems with the wood splitting. We have changed the psi from 65-90. My dad is operating the nailer so not such if it's him, crap wood or the nailer. Is there a technique to using the nailer.
Thx for ur time

Is this the nailer you're referring to? http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/browse/6 ... reviews_li

There are a few happy customers, but quite a number of 1 star ratings. Maybe you should try a better nailer.

Professional nailers cost at least 400 bucks. So you get what you pay for there.

Is the wood its self tight when installing that could be problem , ck pressure of compressor, ck floornailer for boot at bottom may have to be taken off nailing to high. wish you the best of luck, wentzwood Phoenix Arizona
