I've decided to install some BR-111 5/16 - 6 1/4 plank engineered over wood subfloor. Install instructions recommend using Titebond II in the T & G with 3M blue tape to hold in place. Wanted some feedback from the pro's if they recommend staying off the floor for 12 hours and 24 hours before placing furniture back in place.

Is it general experience that Titebond will need the 12 hours before any foot pressure? Can it be walked on within 12 hours? I can keep the furniture off but my 6 and 10 yr old might try to do a Tom Cruise slide on it before it drys. Any huge difference between the Titebond II and III outside of the longer open time?

thanks in advance.

Titebond 11 is an yellow, waterproof, aliphatic resin glue for wood. These adhesives reach maximum cure in about 24 hrs. The glue dries quickly but the bond isn't real strong until it is cured. I recommend following the instructions.
