I am installing my first hardwood floor. I will fix my floor levelling tonight by using 1/2 " to 1/4" ply for my gradual slope and use roof shingles and felt paper to correct any malformations. I also bought some leveller (Mapei) and will use this throughout the floor to fill up some of the ruptures made in the plywood from my 4" blade floor scraper.

Anyway, it would have been nice to get one reply at least from one of you experiences installers...but hey :D the time has come!

In order to achieve what the competition cannot grasp, we must complete what they will not attempt. Nobody ever said it would be easy, but it's darn sure worth it.
