I have searched extesivly on the web for the specific gravity of Tiete Rosewood AKA Patagonian Cherry and I have not been able to find it. (The US Forest Service website doesn't even have it!)

It would certainly be helpfull if hardwood flooring manufacturers and retailers would list this bit of information about their products as one needs it to determine their moisture content before they can be installed.

Might anyone be able to provide me with this info?

I need it for "Amberwood" (Peroba) also.

Did you look here?

http://www2.fpl.fs.fed.us/TechSheets/techmenu.html or contact rmiller@ so in so.

You might have to do some digging and contact the importer or mill in South America
