I finally finished my floor, and I have one question,
I installed 2 1/4 red oak, and I have an exterior door on the side of one of the exterior walls. Well I left the required 3/4 inch expansion, but since my floor is 3/4 thick there is now only about a 1/4 inch gap from the bottom of the door and the top of the new hardwood. Anyways my question is what type of threshold do you recommend to place there. I know it is difficult to suggest one without seeing it but any help would be appreciated. The door meets the sides of the floor not the ends if that makes any difference.

What i do is use a mini reducer and rip it.... install the fat part up against the sill and it slopes gently down onto the flooring. You can also look at reducers made for thin engineered wood flooring and rip those to fit nicely.
