I am in the process of putting in an Engineered wood floor over concrete sub floor. I have removed some tile Approx. 500 square feet that has been in the house since it was built 15 years ago. The installer was very liberal with the thinset and had done a very good job of installint the tile.
What would be the best method to remove the thinset from the concrete without damaging the concrete. Localy where I live in Southern FL I do have axcess to some very good tool rental places so if someone can help with the best method, I can rent the proper equipment. I have spoken to a few of the rental places and have gotten conflicting opinions on what to use.
Any help that you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

I only had to remove ~70 sq ft and I tried to do it on the cheap. Hand scrapers, grinders and even a small demo hammer. It was the most painful, tedious process of my home improvement career. Rent the best equipment you can afford. I should have...(and will next time)
