I want to install a 3/4" solid patagonian rosewood floor in my dining room. The subfloor is 19/32 T&G plywood. That is what is stamped on the plywood. This is slightly less than the minimum 5/8". The joists are 16" between centers.

When you guys say 5/8" subfloor, do you mean the lumber industry's equivalent of slightly less than 5/8"? Or do you really mean 5/8"?

Will the hardness of the rosewood floor help or hinder this situation?

Thanks!

Make sure you install the flooring perpendicular to the direction of the floor floor joists.
