New here. Getting ready to have about 1100 sq ft of eng hardwood installed over concrete. I've had a few flooring contractors come out to make bids. A couple of them swear by Bostik being the best - seems pretty pricey too. A couple others say to get the one put out by Old Masters (French Connection flooring line) and another one called Tycoon Adhesives (can't seem to find any info on this one online).

Is it just a matter of preference? Is the moisture barrier/glue sold at Home Depot a big No-No? We live in Southern California - very dry but occasionally get a wet winter.
