Dang your site looks sweet dude. Love the name. But I can't read the text without my glasses. :P

Why did you start with Anderson? I think I know why.

IMO it's an impossible question to answer, they all have their pros & cons, and range of qualities. Like who's better Ford or Chevy? Need more specifics.

Tarkett? I always thought of Tarkett as mediocre, maybe they stepped it up a notch.

What part of Tarkett's line? Bottom? Top? Compared to what? :mrgreen: :P

In reference to th OP's original question..."What Hardwood Floor Manufacturer do you think is the best"? If comparing longevity.... Mullican, been around longest.

I'm soo confuused :lol: ...Are we comparing medium grades to eachother? Engineered, Solid, Finish, Milling, Colors, Lengths, Availability, maybe Spiffs ??? :? Oh I got it...The best warrantee !

Today I finally started installing this 8 inch wide engineered 3/4 inch 3 ply engineered. The stuff is wonderful. Gotta pinch myself. Heck I am in happy land and would almost do it for free it is so nice of a product.

Note the newer terminology...Solid Engineered wood flooring;

Three solid wood layers of equal thickness cross balanced in a 3/4” thick engineered
plank. The wood used for each layer has the same density. This makes the plank more
stable than plywood, solid wood, and traditional engineered flooring.

Ya Tucson, one of our manufacturers calls this : Solid Sawn, it it is a thing of beauty to watch it jump out of the carton and install itself. BTW, this particular manufacturer makes 5 inch, and 8 inch in mostly 7 ft boards, but are introducing a 12 inch line that will be 3 ft to 12 ft long. They are also switching their traditional 3/4 inch solid 3 1/4 inch and 4 inch slowly over to this format since the product has proven be be extremely stable in our climate.

Dennis, it does almost install itself lol

The face is solid sawn. It's some hefty lumber I tell ya. The company says 2ft to 10 ft range, sales rep told the client most of the planks would be in the 5 7 ft range with lots of 10 footers, we got probably 60% ten footers and lots of 8 footers.
